NASHVILLE, Tenn. – WKRN News 2 reports that an aircraft crashed Monday afternoon at the YMCA on Highway 100 in Bellevue.

The crash occurred right next to the building, just outside the pool area, around 5 p.m.

Four people were killed in the crash. While authorities have yet to officially release the victims’ names, a close family friend confirmed to News 2 the victims are Glenn Mull and his wife Elaine, their daughter, Amy Harter, and granddaughter, Samantha Harter.

KAKE-TV in Wichita, Kan. reported the family was set to attend the National Cattlemen’s Beef Associate Trade Show in Nashville.

According to the FAA, the flight departed Great Bend Municipal Airport in Great Bend, Kan. at 2:45 p.m. and was en route to John C. Tune Airport in west Nashville.

Police spokesperson Don Aaron said the plane, a Gulfstream 690C, initially missed its first approach and was circling for a second time, striking trees behind the YMCA before crashing to the ground.
