CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Montgomery County has had another death from COVID-19, raising the total to 8 deaths.

The death was reported Friday by local Health Department Director Joey Smith. No additional information on the death could be released because of privacy laws.

The county saw 91 new cases in one day, with the total number of active cases reaching 722.

Here are the complete numbers, reported by Smith, as of 2 p.m. Friday:

  • 1,066 cases (lab confirmed and probable) since March 6.
  • 91 new cases out of 568 new test results.
  • 335 have recovered.
  • 8 deaths (lab confirmed and probable).
  • 722 active cases.
  • 1 new hospitalizations.
  • 44 total hospitalizations.
  • 17,614 total negative lab results.
