Update, 10:30 a.m. Monday: The girl is in stable condition, according to police.
The 47-year-old driver has been charged with leaving the scene of a crash with injuries.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – An 8-year-old girl was hit by a vehicle while riding a bicycle Sunday evening.
At about 5:20 p.m., the girl was struck on Bancroft Drive near Prescott Drive, according to Clarksville Police Detective Michael Patterson. She was transported to the hospital, and her condition was not available.
Bancroft is off Peachers Mill Road south of Heritage Park.
No further information was released.
