CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Police are trying to identify a man who attempted to rob two different businesses within a half-hour span and left both businesses empty-handed.
On Monday, Oct. 28, between 6:50 p.m. and 7:20 p.m., the man entered a business in the 1700 Block of Wilma Rudolph Blvd and a second business in the 2100 block of Trenton Rd and tried to rob the clerks.
In both attempted robberies, he walked in the store, threatened to harm the clerk, demanded money and, after being unsuccessful in both cases for varying reasons, fled the scene on foot, according to a news release from Jim Knoll, spokesman for CPD.
He made an inference that he had a gun, but never displayed one.
In the video, it appeared to be the same male that attempted to commit the robberies at both stores.
The suspect description was very limited. He was described as a white male with a thin build, wearing all black with a black hoodie. He may have short reddish/brown hair, facial hair stubble, and his teeth appeared normal.
The quality of the video isn’t the best, police said, but they are hoping someone recognizes the man and calls police.
