Update, 12:30 p.m.:  In addition to the three shot at Waffle House during the overnight hours, several more were injured when hit by shards of glass, Beaubien said in a news release.

The gunshot wound victim that was taken by LifeFlight to Nashville is reportedly in critical but stable condition, Beaubien continued.

It appears that all of the shooting took place outside the Waffle House and all three who were shot were outside the Waffle House in the parking lot area.

No other information was immediately available.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Three people were shot, one of them critically wounded, at a Waffle House on Fort Campbell Boulevard overnight.

At 2:55 a.m., Clarksville Police Department received several calls about a shooting at the Waffle House at 1683 Fort Campbell Blvd., according to police spokesman Scott Beaubien.

Officers found one individual with two gunshot wounds, and he was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to a Nashville hospital. His status wasn’t available Sunday morning.

Two other people drove themselves or were dropped off at Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville and Blanchfield Army Community Hospital. They said they were at the Waffle House when the shooting occurred, and their injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Detectives and officers are speaking to several people, but no arrests have been made, Beaubien said.

It appears that the gunfire came from outside the Waffle House, but police have not said whether the shooting victims were inside our outside the diner.

“This appears to be an isolated incident and there is no reason to believe the public is in danger,” Beaubien said.
