Update, 3 p.m., Wednesday:  The Chrysler 300 that was involved in the hit-and-run crash involving two pedestrians on Tuesday has been located. Clarksville Police said this is an ongoing investigation and no other information is available for release at this time. The male victim that was flown to Nashville by a life-flight helicopter has been reported in stable condition.

Update, 4 p.m.: Nearby residents said the pedestrians were walking a dog when they were hit by the car. The dog is safe and being cared for by the residents.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Two people were hit by a car that fled the scene on Lafayette Road Tuesday afternoon.

At about 12:30 p.m., a white Chrysler 300 hit the pedestrians between Orleans and Darlene Drive. The driver did not stop and fled the scene, according to Clarksville Polices spokesman Scott Beaubien.

One of the pedestrians was being flown to Nashville by LifeFlight helicopter.

The vehicle has possible front-end damage and is missing the passenger side mirror; the windshield may be damaged as well.

No further information has been released. Fatal Accident Crash Investigators are processing the scene.

The Clarksville Police Department is asking for anyone in the immediate area that has video cameras, to review them and contact CPD if they observe the suspect vehicle. Anyone who might have witnessed this vehicle is asked to call 911. Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator Crosby at 931-648-0656, ext. 5336.
