CLARKSVILLE, TN – Thirteen senior leaders from business, finance, higher education, government and the nonprofit sector have been selected for the inaugural Porter Development Initiative (PDI) Leaders Academy. They will represent the region at the Academy’s executive convening at Vanderbilt University from June 23–26.

The Clarksville-Fort Campbell delegation is part of a statewide class of about 135 leaders from eight regional economic zones in Tennessee and neighboring counties. The Academy is led by Global Action Platform in partnership with the Porter Development Initiative and is part of the Tennessee Leaders Action Platform, a statewide network of senior leaders organized into eight regional steering committees.

Buck Dellinger, CEO of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Economic Development Council and chair of the Clarksville-Fort Campbell Regional Steering Committee, and Dr. Scott T. Massey, chairman and CEO of Global Action Platform, announced the regional delegation today.

The leaders inducted from the Clarksville-Fort Campbell region are:

  • Kim Foster, city manager, City of Paris, Tennessee
  • Richard Garrett, developer, Concord Realty
  • Carter Hendricks, executive director, Southwestern Kentucky Economic Development Council
  • Dr. Mickey Hepner, dean, College of Business, Austin Peay State University
  • Jason Jenkins, head of agriculture, Planters Bank
  • Andrew S. Kester, chief of staff, Montgomery County
  • Michael Lankford, state representative, Tennessee House District 75, and assistant vice president, Planters Bank
  • Todd Mansfield, judge-executive, Todd County, Kentucky
  • Beth Sumner, executive director, Cadiz-Trigg County Tourist and Convention Commission
  • Jeffrey Tyndall, director, Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission
  • Patrick Wilkinson, commercial retail lender, Planters Bank
