Update, 9:25 a.m.: The 15-year-old juvenile who was shot has died from his injuries. The incident is being investigated as a homicide. Anyone with information should call 911.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – One person was shot at the Montgomery County Fair Saturday night, and the suspects fled the scene.
At approximately 9:10 p.m., officers working off-duty at the Clarksville Speedway and Fairgrounds in support of the ongoing fair reported hearing gunshots coming from the parking lot near the entrance, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Officer Scott Beaubien.
Additional officers from the Clarksville Police Department responded immediately and located a male victim with a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim, whose age has not been released, has been transported to Tennova Healthcare, and his current condition is unknown.
According to witnesses at the scene, approximately five to six males were seen running from the area toward Hazelwood Road following the incident. At this time, the shooting appears to be an isolated incident, Beaubien said.
The Clarksville Police Department is asking anyone in the immediate area with video surveillance cameras to review their footage. If anything suspicious is observed, please call 911 immediately.
