CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Police have made an arrest in a June 15 shooting in Clarksville.
Shamar Bount, 25, has been arrested in the shooting of Lamont Ingram, 44, of Clarksville, according to a news release from police Sgt. Charles Gill.
Bount is being charged with aggravated assault, Gill said.
At 11:53 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the shooting in the area of Power Street and Walnut Street in New Providence, according to previous reports.
They found Ingram with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital in Nashville.
“This is still a very active and ongoing investigation, and there are no further details that CPD is able to release at this time,” Gill said.
