CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A person was shot late Tuesday night in Clarksville.
At 11:53 p.m., Clarksville police responded to a shooting in the area of Power Street and Walnut Street, in New Providence, according to a news release from Sgt. Charles Gill.
They found a person with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a hospital in Nashville. The victim’s name has not been released.
“Based upon preliminary investigation it appears to be an isolated incident with an intended target. At this time the investigation has provided no evidence or reason to believe that the public is in any additional danger,” Gill said.
