Pastor Philip Eugene Pierce, 61, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014, at his residence.

Philip was born on August 17, 1953, in Wyatt, MO to the late Everett Eugene Pierce and Bessie Louise Housman Pierce.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Brother Joe Richardson officiating. Burial will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West in Hopkinsville, KY. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2014, and from 1 p.m. until the hour of service on Sunday, November 23, 2014,at the funeral home.

Philip was a minister and attended Faith Outreach Church. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran.

Philip is survived by his wife, Misong Pierce of Clarksville, TN; two sons, Philip E. Pierce, Jr. of Tennessee Ridge, TN and Nathaniel (Shelah) Pierce of Clarksville, TN; two daughters, Amanda (Scott) Kuns of Erin, TN and Charlotte (Steve) von Schiller of Ballston Spa, NY; two brothers, Blake Pierce of Sikeston, MO and Jerry Pierce of Charleston, MO; sister, Mary Warren of Bertrand, MO; and eleven grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Scott Kuns, David Ivey, Roger Davis, Donnie Bradford, Max Morris, and Jimmy Lowery.

Pastor Philip Eugene Pierce, Sr. would like to let you know that his work here is done. He received a call, a sort of an offer one can’t refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning. This assignment comes with an additional benefit of a reunion with his Heavenly Father, his Dad and Mom, and his family and friends he has not seen in a long time.
