Robert Lee “R.L.” Rogers, Jr., 93, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2014 at Gateway Medical Center.
R.L. was born on February 11, 1921 in Montgomery County, TN to the late Robert Lee Rogers, Sr. and Clara Yarbrough Rogers. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Bledsoe Rogers; two brothers, William Rogers and Henry Rogers; and two sisters, Madeline Koban and Jean Powell.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Greg Glover officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home.
R.L. was a retired truck driver for Frosty Morn. He was also a member of First Presbyterian Church.
R.L. is survived by two daughters, Barbara (James) Grigsby and Rosemary (Charlie) Knickerbocker of Clarksville, TN; brother, Donald Rogers of St. Charles, MO; and four grandchildren.
