CLARKSVILLE, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the Friends of Fort Defiance, invites the community to step back in time during Sevier Day on Saturday, September 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fort Defiance Civil War Park & Interpretive Center.
This free, family-friendly event celebrates Clarksville’s frontier heritage through hands-on activities, historical demonstrations, and opportunities to experience what life was like for early settlers, as well as period music performed by the Traveling Caudells.
Guests can also meet Native American and frontier reenactors, explore a frontier camp, and watch a blacksmith shape iron at the forge. Flintlock musket demonstrations will take place throughout the day, giving visitors a closer look at the tools, skills, and traditions of frontier life.
