Update, 10:50 a.m.: At about 10:15 a.m., after a 13-hour standoff, CPD’s Tactical Unit entered the house, found the suspect, and took him into custody without incident

Officers had remained on scene throughout the night. Crisis negotiators made numerous attempts to communicate with the man and encourage him to surrender voluntarily, but he continued to refuse to cooperate, Beaubien said.

No injuries were reported. The suspect has been charged with violation of a condition of release.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Police Department has a perimeter established around a residence in the 600 block of Sturdivant Drive, just south of Tiny Town Road near Clarksville Regional Airport.

At about 9:45 p.m., officers responded to a fight in progress, according to CPD spokesman Scott Beaubien. During the investigation, one of the men involved entered a house on Sturdivant Drive. Officers discovered that the man has a condition of release prohibiting him from being at that location, placing him in violation of those conditions.

The man is refusing to cooperate with officers. Crisis negotiators and officers are attempting to communicate with him and bring the situation to a peaceful resolution. At this time, it is unclear whether anyone else is inside the residence.

Residents in the immediate area are asked to remain in their homes until the situation has been resolved.
