Did you know that symptoms such as jaw pain, headaches, teeth grinding, snoring, daytime fatigue, and poor-quality sleep may be connected? Many people spend years searching for answers without realizing that the relationship between breathing, sleep, jaw function, and muscle health can play an important role in how they feel each day.

Now, a new healthcare resource is available in Clarksville. Previously known as Dental Sleep & TMJ Solutions of Clarksville, Everwell TMJ & Sleep is the area’s only practice dedicated exclusively to TMJ disorders and sleep-related breathing conditions, helping patients find answers through comprehensive evaluation and conservative treatment options.

Physicians, sleep specialists working together

Led by Dr. Jennifer Cornell, a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, Everwell focuses on the evaluation and treatment of temporomandibular disorders (TMD), teeth grinding and clenching, facial pain, jaw dysfunction, snoring, and physician-diagnosed sleep apnea. The practice works collaboratively with physicians, sleep specialists, ENTs, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers to help patients receive coordinated care.

“After more than 20 years in dentistry, I chose to focus my career exclusively on TMJ disorders and sleep-related breathing conditions because I saw the profound impact they have on people’s daily lives,” Dr. Cornell said. “Too often, patients are told their symptoms are unrelated or simply something they must live with. At Everwell TMJ & Sleep, we take the time to listen, evaluate the whole picture, and work collaboratively with other healthcare providers to help patients find answers.”

Treatment plans designed for you

Many patients who seek care at Everwell are experiencing symptoms such as jaw discomfort, headaches, neck tension, ear fullness, poor sleep quality, daytime fatigue, or difficulty tolerating CPAP therapy.

Through a thorough examination of the jaw joints, muscles, airway, sleep history, and contributing factors, Dr. Cornell and her team develop individualized treatment plans focused on addressing underlying causes whenever possible.

“It is incredibly rewarding to help someone move from chronic discomfort and poor sleep to greater comfort, better rest, and renewed hope,” Dr. Cornell said.

For patients with physician-diagnosed obstructive sleep apnea, Everwell offers custom oral appliance therapy – an evidence-based alternative to CPAP for many individuals with mild to moderate sleep apnea and for selected patients who are unable to tolerate CPAP treatment.

At Everwell TMJ & Sleep, the goal is simple: provide compassionate, conservative care that helps patients move toward greater comfort, better sleep, and improved quality of life.
