CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – 5 Star Media Group is excited to welcome its new general manager, Emily Ward, an innovative expert in multi-platform advertising sales.

Ward most recently served as sales manager for Midwest Communications in Nashville, known for Jack FM and Mix 92.9.

She will lead the 5 Star group in Clarksville, which includes Clarksville Now, Christian County Now and nine radio stations: Beaver 100.3, Q108, Z97.5, Rewind 94.3, The Fort 99.1, La Pantera 99.9, ESPN Clarksville, Outlaw 100.7, and Patriot 105.5.

“I’m honored to step into the role of general manager at 5 Star Media Group and build on the strong foundation already in place,” Ward said. “Together with this talented team, I’m excited to drive innovation, elevate our impact, and continue delivering excellence for our clients and community.”

She replaces Kevin Miskimins, who has been promoted within Saga Communications to lead the group in Columbus, Ohio.

Ward began her career as an account executive for Cox Media Group in Jacksonville, Florida, where she built a strong foundation in multi-platform advertising sales.

She joined Audacy in April 2018 as an account executive in Chattanooga. She rose through the ranks to become the market’s general sales manager and was then promoted to the same position for the Atlanta market, where she played a key role in integrating digital solutions into client campaigns and accelerating market growth.

Ward joined Midwest Communications in Nashville in May 2024. In this role, she oversaw a high-performing sales team, spearheaded revenue strategy, and strengthened client partnerships across one of the region’s most competitive media markets.

Ward’s leadership and innovation have earned industry recognition, including winning the Radio Wayne Award for GSM/DOS of the Year in 2024, being named to Radio Ink’s “Radio’s 30 Under 30” list in 2019, and being a finalist for the publication’s 2018 Radio Wayne Award for Integrated/Digital Seller of the Year.
