UPDATE: Strong storms moving toward Clarksville with wind gusts up to 50 mph

Update, 12:55 p.m.: Strong storms are moving along a line from 6 miles southeast of Erin to Parsons, going east at 30 mph.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Strong thunderstorms were moving through the area Wednesday afternoon with 50 mph wind gusts.

At 12:21 p.m., radar was tracking strong storms moving toward Clarksville at 60 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

Expect wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea-size hail, the NWS said. “Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.”
