CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Cooper Boudreau’s son first showed interest last year in the sport of skateboarding, and it has become one of his first passions in life. Now, for his son and for the rest of the community to enjoy, Boudreau has opened Clarksville’s first indoor skatepark for all skill levels.

The Boneyard Skatepark has opened their doors at 1214 College St. This is Boudreau’s second business in Clarksville, the first being Stiltz Iron custom metal fabrication nearby on Kraft Street.

According to their website, The Boneyard is all about skating, and the park was designed for clean lines, controlled sessions, riders who want to level up, as well as an ever-changing landscape. Being indoors also means no weather cancellations, consistent surfaces and year-round skating.

“I want people to come out and have fun; I know this is something Clarksville has wanted since I was a kid,” Boudreau told Clarksville Now. “It’s finally come together, and the feedback has been positive. This space is going to change up, too. The concept I have enables us to easily take things down and build things up. The design is going to be ever-changing.”

Boudreau made it clear that everyone belongs at The Boneyard Skatepark. They welcome first-timers learning how to push, kids building confidence, teens finding their style and adults who never stopped skating.

“We know parents are trusting us with something important; that’s why we prioritize controlled session sizes, clear rules and expectations, indoor visibility, and organized check-in and waiver systems. Our goal is to give young skaters a place where they can grow while giving parents peace of mind,” said The Boneyard Skatepark website.

Boneyard also an event center

The Boneyard Skatepark will also be used as an event center, which includes shows for local performers. This weekend, the skatepark is hosting The King of the Bone Skateboarding Competition, which is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m. For those interested in entering, there is a $20 entry fee.

The Boneyard Skatepark will be open from 10 a.m.-10 p.m., Monday through Sunday, but the hours of operation may be subject to change.
