CADIZ, KY (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Northwest Vikings and Fort Campbell Falcons met up at Trigg County High School in Cadiz, Kentucky, for the Wildcat Chevrolet Bowl, and the teams’ first game of the 2025 high school football season. The Vikings had 570 total yards of offense, including 433 yards on the ground, to power them to a 53-13 win against FCHS.
The Vikings’ ground game was dominant throughout the contest. Northwest had a two-headed monster in the backfield as Demarcus Andrews rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns on only four carries, and Jarvis Everett rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns as well. At the halftime break, the Vikings had a comfortable 31-7 lead.

“We came out wanting to establish the run, and that’s what we did,” Vikings head coach Mark Hall told Clarksville Now. “That’s our thing, that’s our attitude, and that’s our identity. Both of those running backs are just great kids who work hard, and that work showed tonight. That whole core of running backs has been great for us this year.”
Fort Campbell didn’t go down quietly, however, as they returned out of the half with some scores of their own, with one rushing touchdown each from quarterback J.P. Perryman and running back Keshawn Dixon. Northwest’s offense continued to pile it on though as they also scored 22 points in the second half to cement a win in the season opener.

“Turnovers and penalties killed us; we can’t win like that,” said Falcons head coach Henry Mitchell. “It was a close game early, but we started missing tackles, and it went downhill from there. We competed, but against a good football team, you can’t make mistakes like that. We just have to get in the film room and get back to work.”
As for Northwest, it’s the second straight year they’ve opened their season with a win. Now the Vikings are looking to push that momentum into next week and throughout the season.
“We’re going to celebrate this one, but we have to move on quick,” Hall said. “We’ve got a lot of quality football teams coming up, and we need to have some good practices. This is nice, but we want to use this to fuel us more than anything.”
