CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A Clarksville woman has been indicted on charges that she killed a man in a DUI wreck in 2021.

Brittany Renee Covington, 33, is charged with vehicular homicide in the wreck on March 24, 2021, that killed David Dover, according to court documents obtained by Clarksville Now.

David “Roach” Dover, 48, died from his injuries two weeks after the wreck, on April 6, 2021, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was employed at Trane and left behind a wife and eight children, according to his obituary.

The indictment by the July term of the Montgomery County Grand Jury charges that Covington caused Dover’s death “by the operation of an automobile while under the influence of an intoxicant, alcohol, marijuana, controlled substance, controlled substance analogue, drug or substance affecting the central nervous system.”

She was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on July 23 with an arraignment set for Aug. 22.
