CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Montgomery Central sophomore Pitcher Kaleb Cilk has been named Clarksville Now Player of the Week following his performance in the Indians’ win over Fairview on April 1. Cilk threw a complete game shutout with 11 strikeouts.
“He stepped up big time in a big district game,” said long-time Indians head coach Todd Dunn. “Throwing a complete game shutout is exactly what our team needed and allowed for us to earn a big win.”

Cilk, in seven innings, allowed only three hits and one walk while striking out 11. No Fairview runner even reached third base. His consistent pitching and the defense behind him were the perfect formula for a Central win.
“Out of all the players in Montgomery County, I’m thankful that I got named Player of the Week,’ said Cilk. “Being named Player of the Week is not just about individual performance but about the collective effort of the team. To have the success I’ve had pitching, I need a good defensive, and I have one. I will continue striving for excellence, to uplift my teammates, and to contribute to our goals.”
