Update, 11 a.m.: A Wind Advisory has been issued for Montgomery and surrounding counties for 10 a.m. Wednesday until 4 a.m. Thursday. South winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected, according to the NWS.
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the NWS said. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The predicted amount of rainfall for Clarksville this week has increased to 8-10 inches, starting with a storm Wednesday night.
The greatest severe weather threats should occur sometime after 6 p.m. Wednesday, then persisting overnight into early Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service. All modes of severe weather will be possible, including large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes.
Flooding may be the worst of it. A Flood Watch has been issued for Montgomery and surrounding counties from 7 p.m. Wednesday evening through 7 a.m. Sunday morning. Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms are forecast, producing locally heavy rainfall across already saturated soils, the NWS said. River flooding will be a concern, along with flash flooding.
There’s a 73% chance we’ll get more than 5 inches, and a 49% chance we’ll get more than 7 inches. The forecast will change as we get closer to the event.
