CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Two people have been arrested after police say they discovered the couple were running a drug business out of their home, selling fentanyl. The arrests came after two searches of the home, in December and in March.
On Dec. 20, 2024, Clarksville Police executed a search warrant at the shared residence of Kayla Miller and Joe Mosley, both 36. During this first search of the home on Pollard Road, police found 0.6 grams of fentanyl and another 0.6 grams of methamphetamine, according to an affidavit.

Additionally, police obtained an array of drug paraphernalia, consisting of 14 cut straws with residue, numerous used corner bags, pieces of burnt foil and two glass pipes. According to the affidavit, firearms were also found in the residence: a Rohm RG .38 revolver with the serial number obliterated, an American Tactical .22 handgun, and an assortment of ammunition.
According to court documents, both Miller and Mosley had been prohibited from possessing any firearms, Miller due to her drug history, and Mosley due to his criminal history and past convictions.
Second search of house
Less than three months later, on March 12, police saw Mosley driving a gold Honda Odyssey on 101st Airborne Division Parkway. According to the affidavit, police had previously checked the National Crime Information Center and discovered that Mosley’s California driver’s license had been suspended/revoked.

Police followed the Honda, and when Mosley arrived at the Pollard Road house, they executed a traffic stop. Mosley was detained, and police executed a search warrant on the house. This time, police recovered 16 grams (about half an ounce) of fentanyl, according to the affidavit.
More paraphernalia was found this time, including burnt foil, five cut straws/pipes, a razor blade with residue, multiple baggies with residue, two digital scales, syringes, push rods, and a pill bottle with residue. Additionally, police found another firearm: a loaded Springfield Armory XD45 handgun and more ammunition. Police were also able to obtain multiple drug ledgers.
Meanwhile, other officers went to Miller’s place of work, where she was detained and consented to a search of her purse. Police found 0.5 grams of methamphetamine, 0.1 grams of fentanyl, and a pipe, according to the affidavit.
According to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency website, while it depends on a person’s size, tolerance, and past usage, just 2 milligrams of fentanyl can be fatal to an adult. From December to March, police obtained approximately 16.7 grams of fentanyl from Miller and Mosely – 16,700 mg in total.
