CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The National Weather Service has confirmed Clarksville-Montgomery County received 6.28 inches of rainfall between Feb. 15 and Feb. 16, which accounts for 42% of rainfall the area has received in 2025. A large percentage of that total came on Feb. 15, when the Clarksville area received 5.92 inches of rain that day.

The NWS office based out of Nashville, told Clarksville Now before Montgomery County had been hit by showers and thunderstorms on Feb. 15, the county had received just 8.57 inches of rain in 2025. Then, following the events of Feb. 15 and 16, that yearly total shot up to 14.85 inches.

“The normal for this time of year is 5.63 (inches), so we’re well above normal,” said one spokesperson with the National Weather Service.

A Flood Advisory is still in effect for Montgomery County which is set to extend until Feb. 20, at 11:53 p.m.
