CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Richview Cowboys and Kenwood Knights met up at Fortera Stadium in Clarksville for the 2024 Middle School Football Championship on Tuesday, Oct. 8. Despite Kenwood’s impressive special teams play, Richview Middle School walked away with their fourth consecutive Middle School Football Championship by a score of 50-26.
The Cowboys wasted no time finding the endzone as Aree Hines caught two touchdown passes during Richview’s first two drives. Kenwood responded with a touchdown of their own before the half ended, and the score sat at 22-8 with the Cowboys leading at the break.
To start the second half, Richview Middle received the ball, which ended with Harrison Smith running it in for a touchdown. In total, Smith scored three touchdowns on the night.
While the Kenwood defense could not get timely stops in the second half, the team still didn’t go down quietly. The Kenwood Knights returned three kickoff returns for touchdowns, including two to start out their first two drives in the second half.
In the end, Richview Middle ended the game with a 50-26 victory over Kenwood Middle.
