FORT CAMPBELL, KY (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A fire in the impact area at Fort Campbell on Wednesday was creating a great deal of smoke, and it may be visible from off post.
“Continued dry conditions have and will result in range fires,” Fort Campbell officials said in a statement. “The fire is under control and being monitored by DPW Forestry; DPTMS Range; and DES personnel to ensure the fire stays within the training areas and to avoid any threats to property.
“We will continue to monitor and update if the situation changes,” Fort Campbell officials said.
