CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Joshua Wikholm has qualified to run for Clarksville City Council, Ward 3, on the November ballot.
Wikholm, 36, is an 11-year Army veteran with two combat tours, one to Iraq and one to Afghanistan. He was retired from the Army in 2018. He has been actively engaged in his Clarksville community since then. He has managed multiple successful political campaigns in that period as well. He ran for Montgomery County Commission in 2022.
In 2023, Wikholm enrolled at Appalachian State University, where he majored in veterinary technology. He achieved the dean’s list there, then transferred to Austin Peay state University, where he has achieved the dean’s list in each of the full semesters he has attended there. Josh is a member of five honor societies at Austin Peay State University, including the National Society of Leadership and Success, and the Alpha Lambda Delta APSU chapter, of which he serves as president. He is a junior majoring in political science.
“The most significant aspect of this seat is ensuring the success of our community, and I would like to focus more on policy, rather than politics,” Wikholm said. “By doing so, we I know we will address our traffic accidents, crime increases, and lack of accessibility.”
