CUMBERLAND HEIGHTS, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A house was damaged in a fire Friday night in Cumberland Heights, just south of Clarksville.
Palmyra Fire Department was paged to the fire at a home on Dinsmore Road, with someone possibly still inside, according to Montgomery County Emergency Management Director Ed Baggett.
Cunningham Fire Department had seven units responded with multiple apparatuses to assist with the fire and search efforts, along with multiple units from Saint Bethlehem, East Montgomery and the Montgomery County Rescue Squad.
The strong turnout allowed firefighters to search the residence and extinguish the small embers that were remaining. The turnout also allowed firefighters to rehab longer and replace air bottles, according to Cunningham VFD.
Due to the home owner’s quick thinking by shutting all the doors and windows, the fire was contained to the living room, they said.
There were no injuries to residents, firefighters or pets, Baggett said.
