CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville High girls’ basketball team made history on Friday night following their latest victory against Henry County High School. They finished the 2023-24 season with an undefeated regular season, which is only the second time in Clarksville history it’s ever been accomplished.
The Lady Wildcats own both undefeated regular seasons in city history, the first of which came in 2012. The squad from 2012 compiled a record of 37-1 and five members of the team went on to play Division-I basketball. However, they went on to lose to Science Hill High in the TSSAA State Quarterfinals.
It just so happens this year’s Clarksville High team has numerous future Division-I athletes on their team as well, including Imari Berry who is ranked the 13th best player in the class of 2024. Berry was just named a McDonald’s All-American and a class 4A Miss Basketball finalist earlier this year.
Head coach Brian Rush looks to lead his Lady Wildcats back to the TSSAA state tournament for the second consecutive year as they look to cap off their season with a state championship victory.
