CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – In addition to the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) working on repairing deep potholes on Interstate 24, the City of Clarksville’s Street Department announced they plan on making repairs to city streets that were also affected by the recent snow and ice.
The work that is expected to be done is one part of a broader effort across the region to repair highways and roads that fall under various state and local jurisdictions, according to a news release sent to Clarksville Now.
In an effort to maximize customer service and speed up repairs, the City of Clarksville has asked for the local community to “approximately identify pothole locations” when notifying the appropriate state or local agency.
For roads within city limits, the city has asked for the community to notify the Clarksville Street Department through the city website here, or residents can log into www.cityofclarksville.com and click on the home page button to report a concern.
In addition to reporting road repairs in Clarksville, any damage along state roads should be brought to TDOT’s attention, according to the news release. To report an issue on a state road, call the TDOT Road Repair Hotline at 833-TDOTFIX (836-8349).
Key thoroughfares under TDOT’s jurisdiction inside the Clarksville-Montgomery County area include the following:
- Interstate 24; Wilma Rudolph Boulevard; Fort Campbell Boulevard; Madison Street; Tiny Town Road; Trenton Road; Rossview Road; State Highway 12; State Highway 48/13; Martin Luther King, Jr., Parkway; U.S. Highway 79; State Highway 374; and U.S. Highway 41A, and the 41A Bypass.
