CLARKSVILLE, TN – Erinne Hester, Montgomery County Assessor of Property, was honored with the Excellence in Operations Award for 2023 before the Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers. The award was presented on behalf of the Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers by the President, Judy Smith, and the Executive Director, Will Denami.

“The Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers proudly recognizes Erinne Hester and the Montgomery County Assessor Office for exemplifying the highest standards of professionalism and overall best practices in operations and honor them with the Excellence in Operations Award for 2023,” said President Judy Smith.

Also speaking during the award ceremony was Executive Director Will Denami who said, “Erinne Hester has proven time and time again that her dedication to professional development and continual refinement of best practices is how she continues to raise the bar in Montgomery County and across the state. This is the highest honor an Assessor can receive for the management of their office and this award combined with Erinne previously serving as President of the TNAAO in 2022, receiving the Excellence in Operations Award for 2017, Assessor of the Year for 2016, Outstanding Executive Board Member for 2015 proves she does not rest on her laurels.”

The Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers (TNAAO) is a professional organization composed of the elected officials serving as Assessors of Property in Tennessee. The TNAAO’s purpose is to work on behalf of the people of Tennessee to ensure fairness and uniformity in statutes and procedures regarding the assessment of property, as well as, to promote excellence through best practices and professionalism amongst those charged with this vital task.
