CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Holiday Inn Express held a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday for a new hotel being built in Clarksville, right next to the existing hotel on Cracker Barrel Road.

The second hotel will be a Holiday Inn Express, featuring 112 rooms and a restaurant, and it’s expected to open in 2025.

Andy Wadhwa, a Clarksville native, will be a partner in the Holiday Inn Express. “This is my city; 35 years is a long time. That was one of our reasons to build in Clarksville, looking at the growth and potential.

“The first one is doing well, and we are praying this one does as well,” Wadhwa said.

State Sen. Bill Powers and Rep. Jeff Burkhart spoke during the ceremony, discussing growth and the many new business that have opened in the last year.

Holiday Inn Express will be located next to the Holiday Inn at 219 Cracker Barrel Drive.
