CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville High boys’ and girls’ basketball programs played their fourth game of the season on Monday when they hosted the Creek Wood High Red Hawks, and each home team did not disappoint.

The Lady Wildcats kicked off the night against the Red Hawks and right from the start, they took control of the game. Clarksville High led Creek Wood throughout each quarter and when the final buzzer sounded, CHS won the game by a score of 54-46.

Lady Wildcats senior guard Imari Berry led the game in scoring with 17 points scored, which includes Berry scoring 10 points in the final quarter of action.

Meanwhile, Keria Garinger finished with 13 points for Clarksville High while Ella Moore added 7 points of her own. The Lady Wildcats remain undefeated on the season at 4-0, and they are set to play at LaVergne High School for the first of a two-game series on Thursday.

In the second matchup of the night, the boys’ basketball game between Clarksville High and Creek Wood was a battle from start to finish. Each team was fighting for the upper hand up, and defense was the name of the game through three quarters.

However, when the fourth quarter began, a scoring frenzy took place between each program. Between the two teams’, they combined for a total of 47 points in the final quarter, 26 coming from CHS. Due to their strong finish, Clarksville High won by a score of 64-57. The Wildcats were able to come away with their second win of the season and now move to 2-2.

Clarksville High senior guard Kellen Howard led his team in scoring on the night, while Jabari Jolley finished with 18 points. All 18 of Jolley’s points came in the second half. Also, Sheldon Huber finished with 12 points for the Wildcats.

Clarksville High boys’ basketball is scheduled to travel to Lavergne High School for their next game on Thursday, which will be followed up by a trip to Kenwood High on Dec. 5.
