CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A new restaurant and community events center is making plans to open in Clarksville. The Love Bistro is a subsidiary of the nonprofit organization Dear Music. Owner and founder Vicky Love said the Love Bistro is a multi-purpose hub for the community.

The Love Bistro will celebrate their grand opening on Sunday, Oct. 8, at 1009 S. Riverside Drive. Many will remember the location as the former Buffalo Brady’s Wooden Nickle Pub in the Clarksville Shopping Center. The event will highlight the Love Bistro Youth Culinary Program.

Love is a geospatial engineer and said she maps where things are and correlates data to understand what is happening in those areas. She said that is one way she discovered a gap in the area along Riverside Drive when it came to a restaurant and community hub, plus a U-Haul location on the side.

The idea for the Love Bistro came from Love’s desire for all things creative, whether it be culinary or the arts. It’s a place where everyone can eat good food, socialize and gather to enjoy fellowship, she said. When it comes to food, the Love Bistro features a variety of menu selections for lunch and dinner.

Love added that the bistro goes beyond food. It is a place that promotes science, technology, engineering, art, math and culinary (STEAM-C), including community and small business.

“This is a space where community members can come and socialize and build a network. As far as an event space, locals can come and perform and host their own events and also connect,” Love said.

Restaurant hours for the Love Bistro are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday. The Love Bistro is closed on Sunday.
