CLARKSVILLE, TN – Dreams and Wishes of Tennessee, which grants wishes to kids age 5 to 21 who have relapsed from cancer, recently held a Christmas party for Grant in Clarksville.
“When Grant arrived, he wasn’t feeling super good. He had been to the ER the night before due to severe pain. But no matter how much he was in pain, he asked his mom several times if it was time for his party,” Dreams and Wishes said.
Grant loves Santa Claus and Buddy the Elf, and he came to the party dressed in his Buddy attire. After Grant spent a little time with Santa, Buddy arrived.
“Grant was so excited. These two hung out for well over an hour. Grant asked Santa to go home with him, and he didn’t want Buddy to leave his side.”
TNreindeer brought an extra special guest: Hope, an 11-month-old reindeer.

“Hope and Grant hit it off really well. He loved petting her and kissing her, and Hope seemed to love the attention from Grant, too. Seeing him with Hope was a heartwarming sight.”
Several students from Rossview Elementary School made snowflakes. Kids from Kirkwood Middle School made paper chain decorations and wrote notes to Grant and his family on each chain. Friends brought Christmas trees from their home for to add to the “tree forest.” Other friends, neighbors, and a couple of former wish moms brought Elf/Christmas themed finger foods, cupcakes and cookies.
