CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – With a name like Peach Cobbler Factory, you can imagine what the dessert franchise specializes in. But in addition to their 12 cobblers, they’ve got a variety of other sweet treats like ice cream, puddings, cinnamon rolls, Pudd-N-Shakes, Sweet Peachy Tea and Cold Rush cold-brewed coffee.

The franchise started in Nashville around 2013 as a food truck before opening a brick-and-mortar shop in Louisville. They later opened another store in Nashville, and not long after, they franchised. Now, the dessert shop has made its way to Clarksville, thanks to Wendy and Philip Ladd.

Wendy told Clarksville Now that she is a nurse by trade, and she and her husband, Philip, discovered Peach Cobbler Factory when her friend and former co-worker decided to franchise a location elsewhere.

“We knew we were already looking to move away from our day jobs, per se, and just do something that we wanted to do that we can call our own and give back to the community,” she said. “And I’ll tell you what sold us was the OG Banana Pudding, and they also make a product called Sweet Peachy Tea. Once I tasted that, and I had some of that banana pudding, I was like, ‘OK, where do we sign?'”

While the shop is owned by Wendy and Phillip, their son also gets a piece of the pie – or rather, the cobbler. The couple’s son, Jalin Ladd, serves as general manager. Wendy stressed that at the Peach Cobbler Factory, it’s all about family.

“It’s family. So once you enter through our doors, you are now a part of our family. We want it to be an experience. We want you to have fun. We want you to forget about the cares and the worries of the day and come on in and just get you some cobbler and some ice cream,” she said.

Wendy and Phillip are also veterans, and Wendy noted that they are excited to serve the Clarksville community and the folks who come in and out of Fort Campbell.

“The grand opening just blew my mind. I never imagined, in my wildest dreams, that it would be as well received as it has been. So, it’s a very humbling experience, almost surreal too,” she said, noting how thankful she was to the community and marketing team. “We want to serve the best product we can. I really want to be one of the best dessert shops here. That’s our goal.”

Wendy added that she and her husband are also looking to establish some other locations in Clarksville. She said the shop is looking for help, and to apply, you can stop by and pick up an application.
