CLARKSVILLE, TN – Experience Christmas as the pioneer families did at Historic Collinsville’s “An 1860s Tennessee Christmas” event on Sunday, Dec. 4. The event will begin at 3 p.m. and conclude at 6 p.m.

Attendees will rotate between stations at the pioneer settlement to experience different aspects of the holiday celebration. Stations will include refreshments, a sing-along, crafting decorations, storytelling by the fire, and caroling on the property. Guests will also be able to see Santa from different eras.

“Throughout the year, we are able to show visitors the life of pioneer settlers, but there is certainly something special about Christmas,” said Kristy Proctor, Co-Director of Historic Collinsville. “This year we want to have an interactive event where people can truly feel as if they have been taken back into an 1860s Christmas celebration.”

Registration for the event is required through Eventbrite. This can be found on the Historic Collinsville website. Tickets are $10 for ages 13 and above, $5 for ages 6-12, and free for children ages 5 and under.

An 1860s Tennessee Christmas will be the last public event at Historic Collinsville until the settlement reopens for the new season in the spring. Anyone interested in scheduling field trips, group tours, or private events should contact Kristy Proctor by phone at 931-551-6535 or email at kristy@visitclarksvilletn.com.
