Update, 6:30 p.m.: Detectives with the Clarksville Police Special Operations Homicide Unit have arrested 21-year-old Darean Parrish of Springfield. He has been charged with homicide and theft.
“This was not a random act and both parties were acquainted with each other and traveling in the same vehicle at the time of the homicide,” Beaubien said. “After the shooting, Darean Parrish fled to Springfield, where he was taken into custody.”

Update, 10:40 a.m.: The death investigation on Tiny Town Road is now a homicide investigation. When the victim arrived at the hospital, it was discovered that he had a gunshot wound to his head, Beaubien said.
Police have one person in custody.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – An injured man was found in the middle of Tiny Town Road early Thursday morning, and he later died from his injuries.
At about 3:56 a.m., Clarksville Police responded to an ambulance call regarding an unconscious 22-year-old man on Tiny Town near Allen Road, according to police spokesman Scott Beaubien.
The man had a bump on his head and was bleeding from his nose and ears. He was transported to Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville, where he was pronounced dead.
As of 6:45 a.m., Tiny Town was partially shut down near Allen Road, with one lane open in each direction. CPD was asking the public to find alternate routes.
No further information has been released.
