CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Montgomery County is under a Freeze Warning tonight, with lows expected to drop to the upper 20s.
Most of Middle Tennessee is under the warning from the National Weather Service, in effect from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. Thursday.

Right behind it, there’s a Hard Freeze Warning for Thursday night, from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m. Friday, with lows expected in the low 20s.
“Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing,” according to the NWS alert.
“Freezing temperatures and a few patches of frost will occur for a short time around daybreak Thursday. Much greater impact is expected Thursday night into Friday morning with a hard freeze expected to last for several hours along with widespread frost.”
NWS advised taking action now to protect plants and outdoor water pipes.
“To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes, they should be wrapped, drained or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing,” the alert said.
