Sylvia Elfarene Smith Perry, age 86, of Clarksville, died Monday, December 7, 2020, at Arcadia Senior Living.
Sylvia was born May 19, 1934, in Bumpus Mills, TN, to the late Elfry Smith and Emma Hargis Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband of nearly 46 years, Bill R. Perry.
Mrs. Perry was a teacher for 32 years, where she spent most of her time at Ringgold Elementary School. She was a member of The Church of Christ at Trenton Crossing.
A service will be held Thursday, December 10, at 1:00 PM, at The Church of Christ at Trenton Crossing, with Bro. Geoffrey Sikes officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Bumpus Mills, TN. Visitation will be Thursday, December 10, from 10:00 AM until the hour of service, at the church.
Sylvia is survived by her son, Scott (Terri) Perry of Brentwood, TN; daughter, Jill (B.J.) Worthington of Clarksville, TN; four grandchildren, Elizabeth (Tanner) Shamblin, Adam Worthington, Cristen (Dylan) Harper, and Shannen Perry (fiance, Connor Rietveld); two great-grandchildren, Emma Shamblin and Ellie Shamblin; and one expectant great-granddaughter due in January 2021.
Pallbearers will be Scott Perry, B.J. Worthington, Adam Worthington, Tanner Shamblin, Dylan Harper, and Connor Rietveld.
