Mrs. LaRue Killebrew Heflin, age 82, of Clarksville TN, formerly of Paris, TN, and Big Rock, TN, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020, at Spring Meadows, Clarksville, TN. She was born August 23, 1938, in Weakley County, TN, daughter of the late Finis Wilson Killebrew and Fleeta Ann Williams Killebrew.

LaRue retired after 27 years of civil service from Ft. Campbell, KY.

LaRue loved and cared deeply for animals especially her pet cats and dogs. She found great joy feeding various birds, squirrels, and other wildlife.

LaRue was blessed with many talents; she particularly enjoyed cooking, cross-stitch, knitting, and sewing and was an avid gardener. A devoted mother and wife, she is loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Rhue Ellen Heflin Shelton (Mike), Hendersonville, TN, and her sister, Charlotte Killebrew Moody, Paris, TN. Additional survivors include George (Pat) Heflin, Dover, TN; Brenda Heflin Atkins (Kenneth), Charlotte, TN; Bruce (Barbara) Heflin, Clarksville, TN; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Dotson Heflin; son, Hugh Allen Heflin; daughter, Anna Elizabeth Heflin, all formerly of Big Rock, TN; brother-in-law Ronald Henry Moody, formerly of Paris TN; sister Linda Faye Heflin Horsey and brother-in-law Philip Horsey, formerly of Clarksville, TN.

Visitation will be Monday, November 2, 2020, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 5:00 pm on Monday with Mitchell Allen officiating.
