CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The 2020 version of Fright on Franklin will be drive-thru experience at Liberty Park.

Instead of walking the sidewalks of downtown Clarksville, visitors will drive through Liberty Park, 1190 Cumberland Drive, and collect candy from local businesses, according to an announcement on the city website.

The event will be Saturday, Oct. 31, from 1 to 4 p.m.

These COVID-19 safety precautions will be in place:

  • There will be modifications to practice responsible social distancing.
  • Participants must wear face coverings.
  • All candy will be prepackaged.
  • Trick-or-treaters are not allowed outside vehicles. Vendors will hand out candy to their cars.

Great Giant Pumpkin Contest

Altra Federal Credit Union will present the winner of The Great Giant Pumpkin Contest.

The Great Giant Pumpkin, donated by Blocker Farms, was carved by Olasubomi Bashorun, the 2020 Riverfest Juried Art Show winner, during the BBQ Bash.

The public is being asked to guess the weight of the pumpkin at city events throughout the month of October. The winner will be announced at Fright on Franklin.
