CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Montgomery County Education Association will host Read Across America from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., Saturday, March 1, at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library.
“A Stupendous Seusstastical Celebration of Reading!” will feature guest readers, crafts, chemistry, magic, an Oobleck Creation Station, trivia and choir performances.
There will be a photo op area to include photos of the honor choir, special areas and guest readers.
The event is family friendly and open to all ages.
Below is a list of special guests and the times that they will be at the event:
2:00-2:20: Rick Martin, Assistant Principal at Rossview High School
2:20-2:40: County Mayor Carolyn Bowers
2:40-3:00: Representative Joe Pitts
3:00-3:20: City Mayor Kim McMillan
3:20-3:40: Lora Black, President-Elect of the Tennessee Association of School Librarians
3:40-4:00: Dr. B.J. Worthington, Director of CMCSS
