NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Tennessee Department of Health released their updated numbers for April 3. There are at least of 3,067 positive cases of COVID-19 in Tennessee as of April 3.

Some cases have not been confirmed through the health department yet as they are in process of moving from local departments and labs, through verification in the state health department.

Young people continue to have the highest number of cases. There are 693 cases reported for Tennesseans 21-30 years old.

Although there are only 222 positive cases reported in the past 24 hours, Dr. Lisa Piercy said this downturn in positive cases does not signify a trend.

The executive order remains in effect until April 14, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. Gov. Lee will address these measures in the press briefing today at 3 p.m. CDT.
