CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) –  Members of the Fort Campbell Masonic Lodge donated Thanksgiving baskets to Oak Grove families as part of their continued philanthropic support of the community.

“We used to donate money to help out the community program, but this year we wanted to make sure those in need were getting what they needed,” said Steve Grudzinski, secretary of the Fort Campbell Masonic Lodge.

Thanksgiving baskets included a 10-13 pound turkey, and non-perishable side dishes such as mashed potatoes, boxes of stuffing, yams, mini marshmallows, green beans, corn, carrots, gravy packets and more.

“They were put together to feed a family of four,” Grudzinski said. “Last night we delivered them to a family that was recommended by a community program. Everyone was very very grateful. We will be delivering two more today.”

Grudzinski said that giving back was the gift in the Lodge’s project.

“We wanted to hand it to them and say Happy Thanksgiving and this take the weight off their back,” Grudzinski said. “We try to help in the community in as many ways as we can.”
