Clarksville, Tenn. – The timeless elegance of calligraphy and hand-lettered design has been used by brides for decades. Today, modern hand-lettering adds a simple flair that brings an event to the next level. Local Clarksville business owner, Rebecca Langford, shared her passion for design with her company Signed, Rebecca.

How Many Years Have You Been in Business?

I’ve been doing lettering on chalkboards since about 2015 and since then I’ve ventured in to doing different mediums. It was just a hobby until friends encouraged me to get my name out there by starting an Instagram, which I started last year!

What is your favorite thing about your career/business?

I love collaborating with people and coming up with what they’re looking for exactly. For example, if they’re wanting a specific color for their envelopes to make them stand out. It’s the simple touches and attention to detail that really make a project come together.

Everything I do is done by hand. Nothing is digitally produced.

What is your best piece of advice for brides?

Don’t forget the tiny details! Taking care of the major concerns of the day is important, but having someone with you who can focus on your simple pleasures, or custom touches, brings your event to the next level.

Favorite part of a wedding?

Seeing everything come together for the couples special day!

Three Things a Client Should Know About Your Business:

1. I don’t do just signage. I’ve started addressing envelopes as well as doing custom orders.
2. Everything I do is done by hand. Nothing is digitally produced.
3. Have pen, will travel! If there’s a specific piece at the venue that is too big to travel with, I can be on site to hand letter.
