CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), Clarksville Police Department, and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will be conduct a sobriety roadside safety checkpoint on Friday, May 17 on Highway 41A North in Montgomery County.
THP says impaired driving is a serious crime that kills more than 16,000 people and injures 305,000 others every year in the United States.
Officers will evaluate drivers for signs of alcohol or drug impairment.
Law enforcement says sobriety checkpoints are highly visible and effective tools in the battle against impaired driving.
