CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The King of the Cumberland Fishing Tournament has been postponed, tournament directors announced Friday.

Weather predictions for Saturday have caused tournament officials to postpone the event to the following day, Sunday, May 5, 2019.

“Our number one goal is a safe and enjoyable tournament,” said Jonathan Pickett, tournament director and owner of Tailwater Marine & Tackle. “Postponing the tournament by one day will allow for the weather to clear up and makes for better fishing.”

The fishing tournament will now be held on Sunday, May 5 at the Clarksville Marina. All registered tournament participants have the option to either participate in the Sunday event or request a refund. Registered participants should check their email for information, or call 931-648-7720 and ask to speak with Olivia.

Those interested in participating can sign up at TuckesseeOutdoors.com. The tournament will have three divisions: Traditional Bass, Catfish, and Kayak Bass. Cash prizes in all divisions and 100 percent payback to the field.
