CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A shooting investigation has caused a road closure on Fort Campbell Blvd. in Clarksville.
The southbound lanes of Fort Campbell Blvd. were closed Wednesday afternoon between Ringgold Rd. and the 101st Airborne Division Parkway for several hours.
Police are trying to identify the owner and locate a suspect’s vehicle which was caught on video surveillance. The vehicle is believed to be a 2008-2010 Nissan Altima and has tinted windows.

Police responded to an ambulance call around 4:15 p.m. at the parking lot of a business at 1887 Fort Campbell Blvd.
When officers arrived, they quickly determined the shooting had occurred on Fort Campbell Blvd. between the 101st Airborne Division Parkway and Ringgold Rd. and established a crime scene where multiple shell casings were located.
The shooting victim was driving south on Fort Campbell Blvd with two female children, ages 7 and 9, when another vehicle approached and shot several rounds into the victim’s vehicle, striking him multiple times.
Investigators believe the suspect traveled southbound on Fort Campbell Blvd after the shooting occurred.
The 27-year-old victim was transported by LifeFlight in critical condition. As of Thursday morning he is in stable condition, according to police.
The children were unharmed and are with a family member.
The shell casings recovered at the crime scene were 40 caliber. Police said the children were in the rear seat of the victim’s vehicle and multiple rounds hit the exterior area where the children were seated.
