CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The deer hunting seasons in Tennessee and Kentucky are drawing to a close as hunters in each state have less than a month left to fill their tags.
Adult hunters in Tennessee have just one week left in the Tennessee deer hunting season as the gun, muzzleloader and archery deer hunting season ends on Sunday, Jan. 5.
Youth hunters in Tennessee can hunt deer one last time this season on Saturday, Jan. 11 and Sunday, Jan. 12.
To be eligible for youth sportsman hunting dates, youth hunters must be 6-16 years of age.
Each young sportsman must be accompanied by a non-hunting adult, 21 years of age or older, who must remain in a position to take immediate control of the hunting device and who must also comply with fluorescent orange regulations, as specified for legal hunters.
Multiple youths may be accompanied by a single qualifying adult. Youths 10 years of age or older must meet Hunter Education requirements.

Kentucky deer hunters have a few weeks left to hunt deer in the 2013-2014 deer season. The archery-only deer hunting season in Kentucky ends on Monday, Jan. 20.
